Early Careers

Discover your career with us

Do you want to start your career at the cutting-edge of inkjet innovation?

We offer several routes to start your career with us at our headquarters in Cambridge and manufacturing facility in Huntingdon. We’re committed to offering opportunities for young people to enter our business and grow with us, as you progress in your career journey.

Graduates

If you’re a graduate, we offer a number of programmes in various areas of our business to kick-start your career. Available opportunities will be listed on our vacancies page here.

We are also open to sponsorship opportunities for PhD and Master students.

Apprenticeships

We offer a number of apprenticeships in engineering, business administration and operations, creating a valuable and rewarding alternative to the traditional routes. Apprenticeships are a great way to achieve a qualification, earn a salary and gain hands-on experience that will set you up for the future. Available apprenticeships will be listed on our vacancies page here.

Industrial placements, internships and knowledge transfer programmes

Several of our departments offer 12 month placements for students requiring a year in industry as part of your degree. This is your chance to have real impact. We will provide you with the guidance and support you need to build your skills and qualifications and our industrial placements and internships provide the opportunity to have an insight into a particular sector or role within our organisation.

Work experience / summer internships

If you’re looking for summer internships or work experience, we can offer you the opportunity to gain valuable experience and insights into life at Xaar. We want to inspire the next generation and promote access to STEM careers. You can register your interest by emailing recruitment@xaar.com.

Justin Perera, Mechanical Process Engineering Intern

“Over the past year at Xaar, I have had the opportunity to develop my skills and knowledge as an engineer, becoming proficient in Solidworks (CAD) and additive manufacturing. My time here has been thoroughly enjoyable, being granted the freedom to work on projects of great significance with established engineers who have taught me more than I could have ever hoped for. On these projects, I have been able to contribute my ideas and suggestions that would best benefit the team.”
