About the Role
Purpose of Role
To support the Facilities Maintenance Team Leader in delivering a planned and responsive maintenance service to Huntingdon and other Xaar UK sites as required
Scale
Conduct and co-ordinate extended tasks and able to provide input to project plans.

Competent in defined discipline and able to provide advice to assist others in making significant decisions.

Work to ensure continuous improvement of facilities plant & associated equipment.
Ensure all tasks are carried out within health and safety guidelines.

Key Accountabilities
- To deliver on relevant Key Performance Indicators
- Ensures all Health and Safety procedures are observed and followed, and that colleagues always wear relevant PPE.
- Undertake planned and reactive maintenance programmes for Huntingdon and Cambridge sites which include LEV, nitrogen, compressed air, DI water, vacuum, BMS and HVAC systems, plumbing and electrical works.
- Undertake facilities tasks as required to support the various UK business functions e.g., installation of new services, management of contractors undertaking install and maintenance activities etc.
- Support call-out system for Xaar UK sites in Huntingdon & Cambridge.
- Trouble-shoot to resolve maintenance problems on plant and equipment in an efficient and timely manner.
- Support the team to deliver projects e.g., changes in layouts, move in and hook up new equipment, upgrade of plant and equipment etc.
- Complete the required reporting on the CMMS system for all works.
About You
Knowledge, experience and qualifications:
- Able to use and understand management operating systems and IT-based packages.
- Able to anticipate/identify problems and use available resources to provide effective solutions.
- Able to act on decisions with the corresponding level of urgency.
- Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings to provide problem solving on both electrical and mechanical plant.
- Competent to work alone on electrical and mechanical systems to fault find, build, and install various items of equipment and plant.
- A minimum qualification of Level 3 (C&G/BTEC/NVQ) in electrical engineering.
- Proven appropriate experience within an engineering role.
