Advanced inkjet solutions resonate at Uniceramics Expo in China

Uniceramics Expo in China presented the perfect opportunity for us to showcase our latest printheads and advanced inkjet technologies. With a focus on maximising productivity gains and adding differentiated value, these resonated with the latest market trends in ceramics.

Highlights from the show included our Xaar 2002 printhead, renowned for its quick setup, reliability and long lifespan. Its unique TF Technology prevents nozzle blocking, while High Laydown and Ultra-High Viscosity Technologies enable increased gamut and special effects. The Xaar 2002 printhead’s flexibility in printing at 720 dpi with greyscale and variable drop sizes provides customers with the ultimate balance of refined performance, ink coverage and ultra-high-volume ink jetting for enhanced finishing effects in ceramics.

Sure Flow technology was another success at the show as the new ultrasonic self-cleaning technology enables users to clear and prevent nozzle blockages without the need to remove the printhead during the process. This ultimately maximises the service life and uptime of the printhead, allowing for a more stable production line and bringing customers higher print efficiency. Visitors to the stand noted the advantages of the technology and its importance in not only maximising uptime but in increased productivity, energy saving and cost reduction.

This was seen on the New King Time (NKT) stand where its latest K10 printer demonstrated smooth tints, graduations and excellent edge definition across a range of tiles. Powered by Xaar’s 2002 printheads, visitors were able to see the high quality of the print, particularly across the growing trend for large slabs used in applications such as dining tables, kitchenware and sanitary ware.

The Xaar Aquinox, also saw plenty of interest at the exhibition, driven by its capacity to deliver exceptional print speeds and compatibility with multiple fluid types and high viscosity inks. The versatility of the Aquinox makes it ideal for printing high viscosity film coatings and aqueous glazes in ceramics as manufacturers look to more creative finishes to differentiate their products.

Undoubtedly, our printheads and technologies are helping drive product development and new services in the ceramics sector we were delighted by the tremendous response received at this important show for the industry.

The interest in high definition and high volume print was clear to see and by enabling our partners to maximise productivity and differentiate themselves through the features our printheads can deliver, we are assisting them in providing the ceramic products today and tomorrow’s consumers demand.
