A review of the InPrint show
We recently exhibited at the InPrint show, the first industrial print show of its type in Europe. InPrint was co-located alongside the extensive Hannover Messe so there was no shortage of visitors! It was an incredibly busy three days for our team, and the show had a real buzz about it with genuine excitement around the future of inkjet and industrial print. We saw a wide diversity of attendees across a variety of sectors at the show, leading to some really interesting new conversations.
The Xaar stand was showcasing our technology across all applications, namely Ceramics, Graphics, Packaging, Labels, Laminates and Advanced Manufacturing. Our stand was exceptionally busy, with our Ceramics, Advanced Manufacturing and Packaging sections in particular, and the newly emerging Direct-to-shape printing applications, generating a great deal of interest.
We showed the All New Xaar 1002 and explained in detail why it is the best printhead on the market for industrial applications. We had numerous samples on display to really show the quality and fine detail our printheads can produce.
Professor Neil Hopkinson from the University of Sheffield gave an excellent keynote talk about inkjet being the key to high-volume additive manufacturing and 3D printing. Industrial inkjet is now providing the tipping point for manufacturers to consider transforming their production processes for a number of applications. His talk was very popular, with a full auditorium and people standing in the aisles to listen. After the talk Neil spent time on the Xaar stand answering more questions and discussing his work with Xaar through the Factum group. Factum is a group developing supply chain and full scale production capabilities for novel Additive Manufacturing Technologies.
We created six new videos for each of our sectors to show visitors what we do, what makes us different to other providers and why we are a pioneer in industries converting to digital inkjet. Below is a montage of the videos we displayed at the show, please do get in touch with us to find out more.
After a thoroughly successful InPrint 2014 we are looking forward to next year’s show already!
