Shipping Clerk

Purpose of Role

To produce shipping documentation for outgoing products to Xaar’s International customers. The role will ensure that the paperwork is appropriate for the destination country and ensure that Xaar is up to date with all current and new legislation. In addition the booking of transport for collection, tracking of goods and advise to customer of shipment details are a key part of this role.

Key Accountabilities

Accountability	Measure of Success
Raising of delivery notes and shipping paperwork in line with destination country requirements.	No shipping or customs delays due to Xaar not conforming to shipping requirements.
To deal with any shipment related issues, with courier, Xaar offices or local custom offices.	Timely resolution, ensuring all parties kept up to date and informed. Ensure corrective actions are both implemented and documented.
Maintain subscriptions with appropriate information sources to ensure that current and new legislation is available to Xaar.	Ensure knowledge of shipping legislation is both current and in depth and shared within Xaar as appropriate. Achieve zero non-conformance on shipping and customs issues.
Booking of couriers and transportation in line with shipping requirements and customer expectations.	Ensure appropriate transportation and on time pick up of goods.

Sales Coordinator, Goods-In / Despatch, Sales Offices.

Key Challenges

Ensure Xaar is current and conforms to latest Shipping legislation. Accuracy and completeness of paperwork. Strive for zero non conformances. Timely resolution of issues and corrective action implementation.

Qualification, Skills and Experience

Proven record in similar role
High level of knowledge in all aspects of shipping
Customs and related legislation. Ideally working towards or have a professional qualification in this area.
