Objectives
The overall objectives of this worldwide role are to plan, manage, measure and improve balanced marketing communications activities that relate effectively with Xaar’s target audience and drive brand awareness and impact. This audience includes Xaar employees, customers, the media, investors and analysts.

Responsibilities
Integrated Marcomms Planning & Budgets
- Definition and justification of budgets for marcomms activities contained within the marcomms plan
- Management of all activities relating to the areas described above in line with approved budgets
Corporate Identity (CI) and Branding
- Definition and development of CI and branding guidelines
- Management and distribution of CI and branding guidelines internally and to relevant Xaar partners worldwide
- Monitoring adherence to CI and brand guidelines
- Develop branding packages for partners (e.g. Xaar Approved Integrator)
- Implementation of Naming policy and Naming changes of Xaar products
Annual Report
- Planning, writing and management of Marketing elements of the Annual Report
- Working collaboratively with Finance to deliver Annual Report on time and to budget
Public Relations (PR)
Work with PR agency to define a holistic annual PR plan that integrates with all marcomms activities so as to maximise efficiency and synergies
Development and implementation of appropriate social media strategy and tactics
Providing all necessary organisational support to PR agency including the writing of press releases where necessary
Co-ordination and production of content for sales tools e.g. case studies, presentations and videos
Facilitate liaison with customers to organise and capture joint PR, e.g. case studies and videos
Manage all Xaar-internal activity relating to PR preparation (e.g. input, meetings, interviews, etc)
Co-ordinate media briefing schedules with PR agency
Performance management and ROI for all PR activities
Website
- Development and implementation of on-line communications strategy
- Management of content relevant to Xaar’s target audience and maintain relevance and timeliness
Exhibitions
- Researching and preparing an exhibition strategy recommendation for key events to determine level of Xaar participation
- Working with Sales to secure appropriate customer endorsement at events
- Working with Sales to determine staffing of shows
- Attending events to gather valuable information relevant to marketing communications
- Carrying out media briefings at shows
Hardcopy and Digital Collateral
- Managing the portfolio of relevant and up-to-date communications collateral
- Management of relevant internal partners and agencies in the planning and creation of new collateral – design, CI and content
- Monitoring the performance of collateral and effect improvements where necessary
Sales support and Customer Relations
- Working with Sales and Product Managers to ensure that customer communications needs are properly prioritised and included in the marcomms plan
- Working with Sales and Product Managers to measure and improve the relevance, effectiveness and efficiency of marketing communications activities
- Supporting Sales and Product Managers with relevant communications tools (e.g. customer presentations, case studies, etc)
- Planning, managing, implementing, monitoring and improving customer relationship programmes – e.g. licensees, OEMs, Integrators
Advertising and Sponsorship
- Managing agency relations in the design of advertising material, in many instances developing the messaging
- Implementing sponsorship opportunities in conjunction with PR Agency
- Maximising ROI on sponsorships e.g. FESPA Global Technology Partner
Measurement
- Define, implement and improve appropriate measurement and metrics for all marcomms activities
- Report marketing ‘dashboard’ to team on a monthly basis
- Demonstrate clear ROI on all activities and develop investment justification
Miscellaneous
- Managing all external queries relating to marketing communications
- Working very closely with the Marcomms Specialist who deals with all aspects of :
- procuring photography as required for annual report, collateral, presentations, PR, etc
- updating corporate presentations (look/style and feel)
- uploading data to the intranet/extranet
- uploading data to the website, reporting on monthly website metrics, SEO
- Exhibition organising which includes:-
- Liaison with event organisers to secure best stand locations, promotional exposure etc
- Working with agencies to design stands that meet CI and branding guidelines and practical needs
- Liaison and negotiation of costs with event agencies for the design, build and implementation of stands at shows worldwide within budget set for this show
- Dealing with all logistical aspects of exhibition organising
Experience
Qualifications
University degree ( or equivalent qualifications) and/or
CIM MArketing Diploma or higher, or equivalent business qualification
