Purpose of Role

To support the Facilities Manager in delivering a planned and responsive maintenance service to Huntingdon and other Xaar UK sites as required.

Key Accountabilities

Accountability

Measure of Success

Work with team to undertake planned and reactive maintenance programmes for Huntingdon and Cambridge sites which include bottled gas, Nitrogen, compressed air, DI water, vacuum and HEVAC systems.

Undertake PPM on facilities plant, achieve set maintenance tasks to plan.

Undertake facilities tasks as required to support the various UK business functions e.g. installation of new services, management of contractors undertaking install and maintenance activities etc.

Maintain factory / site in clean tidy state

Support call-out system for Xaar UK sites in Huntingdon & Cambridge. 

Support call out on rota, 60min time to attend site following a call for assistance

Trouble-shoot to resolve maintenance problems on plant and equipment in an efficient and timely manner.

Support facilities team to relocate PBB stage 6 through 9 toolsets to agreed set times ie disconnect, move , hook up.

Support the team to deliver projects e.g. changes in layouts, move in and hook up new equipment, upgrade of plant and equipment etc.

 Projects are delivered on time.

Qualification, Skills and Experience

  • Sound working knowledge of electrical and mechanical processes
  • Competent to work on electrical and mechanical systems to problem solve, maintain and repair. (served apprenticeship ideal)
  • Experience of maintaining industrial based equipment and facilities
  • Competent user of Microsoft office
  • Experience of working with and supervising contractors
