Xaar has strengthened its partnership with leading ink producer, SunJet, with the approval of four of the company’s innovative Crystal range of UV-curable inks. The world-leading piezoelectric inkjet manufacturer has completed full and rigorous testing on the inks which, together with its leading-edge printheads, presents customers with an unrivalled combination to achieve the flexibility, durability and high-quality benefits UV-inks can offer.

More and more manufacturers are recognising the benefits UV-curable technology can bring, not least of which being the quick turn-around times and ability to print directly onto a broad range of substrates, thereby saving time and reducing costs.

SunJet’s range of UV-ink offers excellent adhesion to a broad range of substrates and high scuff resistance, which combined with their flexible properties makes them ideal for the demanding requirements of wide format graphics, label, packaging and promotional printing applications.

SunJet’s Crystal UFX, UNW, UOX and UGT inks were specifically designed for use with Xaar’s patented drop-on-demand (DOD) inkjet technology to optimise printhead jetting reliability.

The Crystal UFX acrylate based, and UNW white pigment based inks were developed for jetting through Xaar’s versatile XJ126 and high performance XJ500 printheads, and are perfect for flexible/semi-flexible display and coding and marking applications respectively.

The Crystal UOX UV-ink is approved for Xaar’s innovative OmniDot 760 GS8, offering single-pass, multi-pulse, greyscale technology for precision printing on non-porous substrates. While the Crystal UGT UV-ink is combined with the company’s robust OmniDot 318 printhead to support printing on a variety of non-porous substrates within industrial and packaging applications.
